Every year there is blossom festival at Hastings on September.
This year it was held on 16 Sep, last saturday, the day I should go to work , but I took a rest - change my role from "Tai Lau" mode to tourist mode.
And because of this year is 50 years celebration of "Hastings city" too, so it had more float, crowd than usual.
Though it just a city's celebration, but I think we can see the brief history of New Zealand through this parade - old style's dress, cars, queens..., and immigrant - old immigrants from England, Scotland, new immigrants from China, Thailand, Filipino... and of course there was KIWI group.
